MODEL-BASED SYNTHESIS OF GENERATORS
FOR EMBEDDED SYSTEMS

Sponsored by the Model-Based Integration of Embedded Systems (MoBIES) Program

Project Status

June 2000:

In the current early starting phase we are evaluating technologies and development strategies:

  • Analyze related technologies available (e.g. specification-based programming, code compilation and generation, real-time system integration concepts)
  • Evaluate the applicability of our existing tools and technologies, and outline further work to be done.
  • Assess real-world needs and concerns of embedded systems development communities (e.g. the avionics, automotive and telecommunication industries)
  • Establish cooperation with MOBIES participants (e.g. interoperability between different systems), and other industrial or research organizations.
As an initial or (pre-initial) phase of implementation, we are working on an extension of our current GME tool, which is going to be the a central component of the proposed generator-based modeling approach.

February 2001:

ISIS has released the first version of the Matlab UDM transformation framework. It is available to the MoBIES community for evaluation. Please see the download page.
